Rewarding Project Outcomes

At the heart of WIRED's philosophy is our strong, values-based culture that focuses not just on what we do, but more on how we do it.

At WIRED, our aim is to achieve Shared Success for all our projects. Shared Success is the positive result of our projects that we share with our stakeholders by focusing on four key values within our business and environment: a commitment to sustainable, high quality outcomes; employing and developing high-performance teams that are aligned to our vision and values; achieving trusting partnerships with our stakeholders and building profound relationships with our local communities here in Australia.

Our integrated approach of Shared Success means that if we succeed, our valued clients, partners and stakeholders also succeed, producing meaningful and rewarding project outcomes.

As a reliable, trusted partner, we work closely with our valued clients to achieve unique, innovative and cost-effective solutions. We pride ourselves on delivering outstanding, reliable results with the highest degree of professionalism.

Quality through Innovation

WIRED invests in state of the art hi-rail plant and innovative equipment to increase productivity. Our one-of-a-kind, industry leading overhead wiring training programs are developed by experienced industry professionals and utilised extensively for our in-house training purposes, producing highly skilled and trained traction power personnel. We continuously explore new technologies in the traction power industry, and we stay up-to-date with industry advancements by attending rail conferences, workshops and industry events both in Australia and abroad. Keeping a keen eye on emerging technologies and innovative practices means that we can improve the efficiency, safety, and sustainability of construction at WIRED and achieve cost and time savings.

Quality through Excellence in People

We have a highly capable, motivating and experienced leadership team in place that focuses on seamless project delivery. As an organisation, we are driven to get the best out of each and every one of our employees and pride ourselves on producing high quality workmanship. Our access to expert traction power know-how and expertise, inside and outside of our organisation, separates us from others in the industry.

Quality through Best Practice

At WIRED, we believe that through meticulous planning, quality workmanship and expert supervision we can eliminate errors and consequently avoid costly re-works. Our high focus on safety allows us to keep our staff and others healthy and keep the work site running smoothly. Open, timely and clear communication with all stakeholders about project decisions and decision-making processes is an integral part of our best practice philosophy to establish transparency. We understand the financial and time pressures the rail industry faces, and as such, we focus on improved quality outcomes through increased productivity, efficiency and best practice principles. This philosophy enables us to continuously deliver reliable, cost-effective solutions for our clients.

Employing only the best in the overhead wiring industry is our key ingredient to ensuring the quality of our output. Our WIRED recruitment strategy is to attract, retain and develop the right people, and those whose beliefs and values align with ‘the WIRED way’. We are proud that many of our team members have decades of experience in the traction power industry and bring a wealth of knowledge, lessons learned and expertise to our organisation.

Providing a great work environment for our people to thrive in is crucial for our success. We aim to build strong, meaningful and lasting relationships with all our employees and believe in working as a team and supporting each other to understand and achieve our common goals.

At WIRED, we offer flexible rosters, competitive salaries and celebrate mateship amongst our team members, which makes for a committed, motivated and positive team that is supported to achieve great things, personally and professionally. We pride ourselves in providing an inclusive, respectful & inspiring work environment, in which each member is valued and recognised.

As an equal opportunity employer, we welcome the inclusion of minorities in the construction industry, including women in construction, indigenous people and mature aged apprentices, amongst others.

WIRED is dedicated to providing opportunities for professional development and training beyond industry requirements to suit our employees’ skill sets to our organisational requirements. Achieving excellence in people enables us to create high performing teams that are aligned to our vision and values.

The unique strength of our workforce means WIRED is able to provide stable, motivated and high-performing teams that our clients can rely on.

Our focus at WIRED has always been on building long-term, positive relationships with our valued clients. We are proud that over time, these have strengthened and developed through mutual trust, expertise and our proven success. We understand the needs and drivers of our clients, and deliver on their expectations. As a result, our experience, expertise and reliable work delivery, together with our unique capabilities, have made us a trusted partner for our clients in the rail sector. We are proactive, solutions-focused and committed to delivering outstanding results on time and on budget.

We additionally understand the vital importance of good people who contribute to the success of our business and have consequently established strong relationships with our preferred subcontractors, suppliers and contractors.

Long term, meaningful relationships are integral to our business and the success of our projects.

Being local not only gives us the advantage of being experts on local rail networks, but allows us to give back to our community here in Queensland and around Australia.

WIRED was founded in Brisbane, Australia, and is proudly owned and managed by Queenslanders.

As a proud Australian employer, we take social responsibility seriously and we aim to make a broad and meaningful contribution to the communities in which we operate. By tapping into the local Australian recruitment market, we take advantage of the great talent pool our local industry has to offer and the extensive experience on Australian local rail networks. We benefit greatly by working closely with local training agencies and QLD Tafe to upskill our workforce and to meet and exceed local rail network standards and requirements.

As a proud Australian employer, it is important to WIRED to be socially responsible and to make a broad and meaningful contribution to the communities in which we operate. We engage in a range of ongoing initiatives by supporting, volunteering and donating to local schools and colleges, sports clubs, charity organisations and events. Increasing social responsibility and fostering deep connections with our local communities enables us to contribute positively to the environment in which we operate, help people in need and give back to our local communities.

COMMUNITY

WIRED’s Ongoing Community Involvements

Movember

Movember is an annual event that encourages men to grow moustaches during the month of November to raise awareness and funds for men’s health issues, particularly prostate cancer, testicular cancer, and mental health. In a heavily male dominated industry, we are actively engaging in bringing men’s health issues to the forefront of people’s minds and raise funds and awareness through the wider WIRED community and our stakeholders. There is nothing more important than the health and safety of our WIRED family.

Modified Rugby Program

We are honoured to be the first ever Major Sponsor of the Modified Rugby Program at Easts Rugby Union – a wonderful initiative that includes young people with Autism, learning and perceptual difficulties in the rugby community. The Easts Rugby Union club is doing an exceptional job with these young superstars and we couldn’t be prouder to be involved in this fantastic program.

Fostering positive relationships with the environment in which we operate and giving back to our local community is an important part of our WIRED culture.

Womens Netball

At WIRED, we proudly stand behind the remarkable women of the Cannon Hill Netball Association GBNL netball team and are honoured to be supporting women in sports in our local community.

Through injuries, shift work juggling, full-time jobs, and family responsibilities, the extraordinary women of CHDNA GBNL Team are an inspiration not only for the remarkable physical feats they achieve but also for the enduring qualities they embody. They symbolize unity and teamwork, showcasing how individuals from diverse backgrounds can come together with a common goal and achieve greatness.

Their unwavering dedication, resilience in the face of adversity, and relentless pursuit of excellence serve as a powerful reminder that with hard work and determination, anything is possible. The moments of triumph and the inevitable setbacks they experience on their journey inspire us to push our own limits and strive for greatness in our lives and our organisation.
